...the hail has died down, but the wind is howling outside and the cold is setting (back) in. I thought I was going to get my fair share of warm weather before heading to Alaska, but it hasn't happened yet! It's ok though, Kansas needed this rain. But this weekend I'm headed to the lake so this weather better shape up!

Spring storm.
I don't know what is going on with all of this crazy weather here in Wichita...just kidding, it's Kansas in the Spring, this is all totally normal. Tonight there was so much hail it looked like it was snowing...

A weekend in Wichita...
Sorry in advance for the long/pic overload post today...there is so much I wanted to share from our trip and I didn't want to divide it into multiple posts. I hope you enjoy it!
Dave and I had such a wonderful time visiting friends and family in Wichita last weekend. We were up there for a high-school friend's wedding and it was so much fun to get time to hang out with my best friends and to see some girlfriends from high school that I haven't seen in years.

This necklace and earrings that Becoming Jewelry sent me really blew me away. I was excited to get them just from browsing their website, but when they arrived I was smitten. They are sterling silver and the chain really sparkles. They come individually packaged in a little bag with a sweet quote and a plastic bag for the necklace and another plastic bag that contains a polish pad to keep the jewelry nice and shiny.
I was so excited they came before we left because this necklace was perfect for a wedding! It has a circle charm with a D, one with an M, and a heart charm. I think this might be my favorite necklace I've ever owned. No lie. It's gorgeous and has so much meaning to me, I can't say enough great things about it.
It was SO good to get to see my favorite ladies that I miss so much when we're away. We're kind of all over the place now, Hillary (the blonde) is in Denver, Jen and Lindsey are in Kansas City, and of course I'm in Austin...so the times when we can all get together are precious.
Our last day in town I spent all afternoon shopping with my Mom and Aunt and then we headed home to make some guacamole and fish tacos and have some wine. It was a perfect girls day out and a great way to end the weekend.

Sorry it's been so long!
So a lot of you have commented on the fact that I haven't posted anything for awhile, and for that I'm sorry...I've been traveling a bunch so I haven't gotten a chance to update the blog. But here goes...
Since the last time I posted I got a chance to go back to my hometown Wichita and help celebrate my Mom's Birthday and my friends Allie and Patrick's Wedding! I was able to surprise my Mom big time...she thought I was just coming in for the wedding, not the whole week. I had so much fun spending time with my family and then getting to see some of my friends, it was great :) Here are a few pics from my trip...
Also, The wedding was beautiful. Allie was an absolutely gorgeous Bride!...as Dietrie put it she looked like a Barbie :) Here are a few pics from their big day!
Of course it was beautiful and sunny 99% of the time and I got plenty of time to lay out at my parents pool and enjoy it. Then I come back to Maryland and what do I get? More rain...we did have Sat-Mon this weekend of wonderful sunshine, but now we're back to clouds and rain...I didn't realize we were moving to Seattle!
Haha, it was SO nice coming home to my wonderful husband, and I know he was ready for me to be home. And of course where did we go as soon as he picked me up from the airport? On the Border! :D Hehe, we are obsessed...
Ok time to go...Dave has a physical therapy appointment in a few here so I will have to post some more. Keep us in your prayers!
Love you all~ Mal
