Yo Home Slice!

Home Slice pizza had been one of the places on Dave and I's "must visit" list since we moved here. This past weekend we finally made it down to South Congress to try it for ourselves and see what all the fuss is about. We each had a (HUGE) slice of the Margherita pizza and it was pretty dang good.

If you're in Austin or headed down to visit, I would say check out Home Slice. It's pretty cheap and SOCO is the best place to people watch...it really brings out all the crazies...

Out for a drive...

Lately Dave and I have been taking a lot of drives to no where in particular. We have always loved just driving around and checking out little towns around us, even if we never leave the car...

We did that a few times this weekend and it really is good for the soul. Driving around with no plans and no destination in mind...we love it. It's a great way to clear your mind of all the stresses of daily life and to focus on the here and now...

Anyone else ever do this? What are some ways you like to unwind and clear your head?

Red Bud Isle.

This weekend Nikol, Brittany and I went to Red Bud Isle to take a few pictures for some outfit posts. It is gorgeous there. If you live in/near Austin and haven't been...go! It's definitely the type of place that I could spend a whole day just basking in the sun and enjoying the beauty around me...

City love.

I just love our new city...that is all :)

Oh and for those of you that live in Austin, Dave is playing his first shows in town this weekend on both Friday and Saturday...his birthday is tomorrow so it will be a great way to celebrate! Locations and times here.

Gameday fun...

Yesterday my team (University of Kansas) played my new state/city's team (University of Texas) so Dave and I thought it would be fun to get out and go watch the game somewhere. I was brave and wore a blue KU three quarter sleeve shirt with my new crimson slouchy beanie from Modcloth (thanks Dad!)...had to sport my teams colors, even if it meant getting the side eye and angry glances a few times...

After the game, and another win by my Jayhawks (ROCK CHALK!), we headed to the magical land of IKEA. We hadn't been since we lived in Maryland almost two years ago and I forgot how much I loved this place...

It was a wonderful day spent out with my man...even if we were supposed to be home unpacking, oops. We've made up for that today though! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are enjoying your Sunday :)
