If you're wondering what things look like over here, this picture sums it up nicely. It's been rainy since we arrived in Tennessee and continued in Kentucky. I hear it's going to be this way in North Carolina until Friday. Enter sarcastic yay here. I love this spot though, passenger seat on the road with my love. Home, it really is with him...

Life is in Boxes...
I don't think there are any songs out there that could describe our lives better right now than this one. It's always been a favorite, but this Katie Herzig song is us right now...hands down. Everything we can access of our things can fit in the back of our car, the rest is in boxes at my in-laws until we get to North Carolina and find a place. But we're ok with that, we're happy...
...on this second Friday of 2013 I hope you all can say the same.

Next stop...
Well we've arrived at the next stop on our big move/trip of 2012/2013! We're now staying with a friend in Kentucky and today Dave set up my computer for the first time since we left Austin. I am one happy girl.
Also, our new "home" for the next week or two has internet. (Insert enthusiastic cheer complete with kicks here.) Today I've been working on catching up with all the emails/tweets/comments/etc...this may take a few days. I promise I haven't forgotten about you all though, and I hope you haven't forgotten about me either, I kinda like you.
And thank you all so much for all the sweet get well wishes, I'm still not back to 100%, but I'm feeling SO much better. After almost 2 1/2 weeks of feeling like death, I'll take it. What about you all? What's new in your world?

Traveling Photographer // Trip Update
Before I get into some posts full of pictures with everything we've been up to lately I wanted to do a quick trip update. Currently we're staying at my in-laws in Knoxville, TN for one more week. I'm already booked up with photo sessions while we're here.
When we leave here we'll be headed to the Fort Knox, KY area, if you're near there and would like to get in on the special I'm offering as we're on the road, email me! I know our time there will fill up quickly so it would benefit you to get in touch with me soon if you're interested. We'll be in town from about January 7th-16th.
We'll be in our new home of Winston-Salem, NC by January 21st! We are anxious and excited to get to our new town and find a place to live. I know some people think we're crazy because we don't have a place lined up yet, but we like getting to check places out in person instead of picking something out on Craigslist.
I'll be continuing the special on photo sessions for the first few people that contact me in our new area of North Carolina! This will only apply to the first 5 people that email me about a session, so don't wait to contact me if you're interested.
I appreciate your patience as we're traveling and in and out of internet connection. Once we get to KY I should have internet from then on and now that I'm not as sick I can make it to a coffee shop with internet here in Knoxville. I just adore reading each and every comment and really appreciate you all sticking with me through this crazy time.
One last little order of business is sponsor spots. I have spots open in January and would absolutely LOVE to have you! You can grab a spot here.

The journey begins...
Today is the day friends, Dave and I are embarking on our new journey and I can't wait to see what's in store for us on this new adventure. We have a long road ahead of us before we end up in a new home in Winston-Salem, North Carolina...but that's going to be half of the fun!
Tonight we are headed up to Wichita to spend a week with my family and I can't wait to see them! Then we're off to Knoxville to celebrate Christmas and New Years with Dave's family (and his parents' birthdays, which are on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve, how crazy is that?). After that, we'll be heading to a town near Louisville, KY to spend a week or two with Dave's good friend and bass player, for them to work on a few songs. THEN we'll finally set foot in North Carolina and our sweet friend Trish has offered to let us stay with her while we find a place to live.
Whew! You all still with me? It's going to be one crazy long trip, but Dave and I love road trips together and I'm excited to take a lot of pictures along the way. I will be posting along the way and still reading all of your lovely comments...and if any of you are on one of our stops, let me know...maybe we can meet up!

Relaxation...
Pic from the lake trip last year.
It's finally here! Dave and I left last night and headed to Table Rock lake in Missouri! We're probably sleeping right now, since we didn't get in until the middle of the night...
We can. not. wait. There will be lots of boating/jet skiing, slushy drinking, cookie eating, and other forms of relaxation and fun. And while I'm going to unplug as much as possible there is still going to be a post every day and lots of instagrams, so make sure to follow me on there if you're not already. Thanksgiving Trip Part 1: Austin
Friday morning the 18th Dave and I headed down to Austin for a quick trip to see where we will be living come January and to meet up with some of my blog friends :)
After our 9 hour drive we got to Ruthie's house...Dave and I hung out with her and her husband Jon for a bit. I instantly felt like I'd known Ruthie forever. Plus, I didn't realize how much we had in common. It was the same for Dave and Jon...it was crazy how much their lives have paralleled. We will definitely be hanging out with these two again as soon as we get down to Austin.
After a bit Amanda and her boyfriend Scott arrived and she is such a sweetheart! We went out for Mexican for dinner and then they took us down to 6th street. That's definitely a part of Austin that lives up to the weird standard. Afterwards we went back to Ruthie's and stayed up way too late talking. Amanda brought Ruthie and I little iron skillets with brownie mix, how cute is that? I can't wait to use it!
The next day Jon made Ruthie, Dave, and I breakfast burritos that were exactly like something Dave and I would make. After we talked a little while longer Dave and I headed to check out St. Edwards' campus (where he will be going in the Spring semester). The view was amazing...
After a quick drive through of the campus we headed to Dallas...
