100 things about me {part 3}...

51.  My middle name is Ann, just like my Grandma on my Mom's side 

52.  I was born with a full head of thick hair, which the nurses couldn't help but spike for my first official picture...thanks a lot ladies...

53.  I was on a bowling team for the league at one of the bowling alleys here in Wichita in middle school, pretty sweet I know...

54.  ...I won the trophy for highest average in the bowling league...I'll pause for your applause...


55.  I require a lot of sleep in order to not be a grouchy mess...just ask my husband, he'll tell you I'm a bundle of joy unless you wake me up before my time

56.  ...this usually means an average of about 9 hours a night, don't hate...

57.  I love to dance, do yoga, and run...just not all at the same time

58.  Growing up I always wanted to be an actress, and hey if Hollywood were to come knocking now whose to say I'd turn them down


59. I've always been a very emotional person, sometimes because I'm sad and sometimes I'm just so happy...


60.  ...I have definitely toughened up the last few years though :)


61.  I loooooove roller coasters (and theme parks in general)...the faster it is and the more times I'm thrown upside down, the better


62.  I make lists for everything: to-do, grocery, to pack, to remember, wish list, monthly goals, etc.


63. I enjoy finding unsigned/indie bands that most people haven't heard of and then sharing them, there's just something about finding fresh new music that gets me all excited


64. My Mom is a hairdresser and she has always been the one to cut my hair, she knows exactly what I am going for when I try to explain what I want (even when I'm not making sense)...


65.  ...because of this I'm scared to let anyone else come near my hair with scissors, except this one time in Maryland

66.  I get really grouchy if I get too hungry, my Dad likes to call it black out rage (yes it's that bad)...

67.  ...Dave has learned that if he keeps me fed I stay the happy person I usually am :)

68.  I love movies and I find something so comforting in watching a movie I've watched a million times


69.  Scrapbooking is one of my fav things to do! I've gotten really behind though and need to catch upon my books

70.  I've always wanted a pet monkey, they are just so cute and cuddly!


71.  ...I've also always wanted to swim with the dolphins :)

72.  Going with the things I've always wanted to do, I have always said I wanted to go skydiving...I guess this goes with loving rides and things, I just love that feeling when your stomach flips


73.  I hate cold weather, I would be happy if it just snowed once on Christmas every year and that was it...

74.  ...but I do love having seasons, I don't know how I'd feel living somewhere that the weather was always about the same

75.  My husband's album is now on iTunes!!! I'm SO excited :)  ...just go here!

100 things about me {part 2}...

26.  Until Dave and I got married I had lived in Kansas my whole life…

27.  …I have now lived in Maryland, Tennessee, and soon to be Texas! (maybe)

28.  I’m addicted to Sriracha hot sauce…I use it on 99.99% of the food I eat and I use it until I hurt (my nose is running, my eyes are watering, and my tongue is on FIRE!)

29.  I collect angels 

30.  I’m a vegetarian, have been for a year now…

31.  I went to a very small high school…I graduated with 50 people in my class...

32.  …I went to that school from pre-school through graduation, most of my classmates did the same…we’re like family

33.  I have only broken bones they don’t put in casts (nose, tailbone, toe)

34.  Dave proposed to me after knowing me 4 months 

35.  Anytime I need a really big smile, I just go look at this picture…seriously people how can you not smile when you look at this? You can’t.

37.  Mexican food is my favorite and I NEVER get sick of it

38.  I’m blind as a bat…once I take my contacts out at night I can’t see anything…       

39.  ...someday I hope to have Lasik surgery so I can see when I wake up in the morning, how wonderful that will be!

40.  My hair is naturally curly, but I prefer to wear it straight or curled because then it's controlled

41.  ...but I've been trying to wear it curly more often because Dave likes it best that way, and it's much better for my hair

42.  I make a lot of faces when I talk, I feel like that combined with different voices helps me get my point across :P (see above pic)

 43.  My favorite movies are Pretty Woman, Garden State, and Across the Universe…

44.  ...favorite TV shows are Everybody Loves Raymond, Grey's Anatomy, One Tree Hill (yes I still watch that show), Dexter, and Weeds

45.  The best present I’ve ever gotten was my Canon DSLR Dave gave me for Christmas ‘09

46.  I love to read and I usually have about 5 books going at once...

 47. ...my favorite books are The Giver, Prozac Nation, The Giving Tree, When God Winks, Only a Woman, and The Fountainhead

48. I love animals and can't wait until Dave and I get a dog...I love big dogs like Golden Retrievers and all black German Shepherds...

49. ...but some day I would also love to have a little dog like my Mom and John's Chihuahua...Libbie is queen of the house...

50.  Sometimes I miss taking college classes, but I guess that's a good thing since eventually I want to go back and get my Masters...

100 things about me {part 1}...

Ok so the adorable Mrs. Stephanie Thigpen started a link-up for "100 things about me" and I just couldn't help but join in (check out her blog here), so for the next few Mondays I'll be posting 25 things about me, here goes nothing...

1. I graduated from University of Kansas: I’m a Jayhawk, I bleed crimson and blue, and all of that good stuff…

2. …also loving college basketball comes with the territory, I’ll never forget our senior year of college when the Jayhawks won the National Championship, gives me goosebumps just thinking about it…it really was magic being in Lawrence for it all

3. I am extremely competitive, sometimes this comes in handy, and sometimes it’s a huge flaw…my poor husband has learned not to tell me to go faster at the end of our runs because I tend to get a little angry…sorry love!

4. I am a chocoholic! Chocolate is my biggest downfall, if I were to give it up for life (this could never, ever happen) I would probably be lighter and healthier…but alas I just love it too much :)

5. Ever since senior year of high school I’ve donated my hair to Locks of Love every couple years(now Pantene Beautiful Lengths, because Locks of Love isn’t as great as it sounds…) which means I go from extremely long hair to pretty short hair (for me)…

6. My little brother (who will be 20 this summer, what?!) is one of my bff’s…he’s hilarious and we used to fight like cats and dogs when we were little (we got along too, just liked to push each other’s buttons), which we get to laugh about now

7. @mamaramsey (who you all should follow because she’s witty and a lot of fun) said to add “always gracious” to my list of things…this made my day because it’s definitely something I strive to be

8. I am really shy when I first meet people, but then once you get to know me I won’t shut up…

9. …part of being shy means I hate public speaking, HATE it, and I’m the maid of honor in my best friend’s wedding two months from today and I have been freaking out about the speech for awhile now…

10. …but she’s totally worth it :) Jen and I have been besties since the 2^nd grade, it all started with us having to carry desks up to the classroom on the first day and laughing a little too hard and we’ve been inseparable ever since…I don’t know what I’d do without her, she’s the best friend any girl could ask for and I am so blessed to have known her for almost 20 years now

11. The Real Housewives are my guilty TV pleasure, seriously I can’t get enough…I love all of them…Beverly Hills is my new fav, with Orange County and NY close behind

12. I’m adopted and I wouldn’t have it any other way :)

13. …Although people (even random strangers while we’re out and about) are always telling my Mom and I how much we look alike, I think it has to do with our mannerisms…but I take this as a compliment because she is gorgeous :)

14. Seriously though I am the luckiest girl in the world to have the most amazing, supportive parents anyone could ask for (3 of them to be exact)…they are my role models and my bff’s…

15. …because I’m so blessed in the parents department I got to have TWO wonderful Dad’s walk me down the aisle on our wedding day…how lucky am I?!

The only time I’m not in comfy pants is when I’m outside the house (and sometimes I wear them outside the house, shh!) …as in, the very first thing I do when I walk in the door is run upstairs and change into my comfy pants…I even have Dave doing this now too (he’s not as extreme as I am) but I gave him some scrubs that he wears all the time now :)

19. Oh and my new fav comfy pants are the ones he got me for Christmas last year, the set from VS with the zip up hoodie to match…this I love to wear out bc it’s cute AND comfy…someday I’d like to get more, then I’ll dress like Gabby on Desperate Housewives hehe

20. Love, love, love little kids! They are adorable and hilarious because you never know what they’re going to say…

21. …I’ve always wanted to be a teacher, I even have a “note to the parents” I wrote as a little kid

22. My birthday is February 6^th and Dave’s is February 9^th :)

23. I married my favorite person in the world on March 21, 2009 and love every minute of being his wife!

24. My hubby is an independent musician, he just recorded an album and I couldn’t be happier for him… the album turned out amazing and I am always in awe of his talent

25. Since Dave is an independent artist, my job right now (which I volunteered to do because I believe in him so much, not because he asked me to) is helping him in any way possible…I’m pretty much his photographer, manager, social media person, etc.
