Monday night Dave made dinner and it was amazing. Since I'm a vegetarian, it's important for us to find ways to get plenty of protein in our meals at home. A new book I got called Vegan for Life recommended seitan, and while I'd heard of it before I didn't realize how much protein it has. So Dave cooked us up some and stir-fried some veggies with teriyaki sauce, it was the perfect combo.
Tuesday night I made a new type of Asian noodles we bought (Annie Chun's All-Natural.) I made the organic peanut sesame noodles and sauteed some spinach to go with it. These were delish! We will definitely be buying them again. And they're quick, always a plus.
Wednesday night Dave made us some good old tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. The soup was just the way I like it...spicy! He added some cayenne peppers to it for me :) He also added some lemon/orange pepper, it was perfection. The sandwiches were made with Ezekiel bread and pepper jack cheese. I added a few jalapenos to mine, have I mentioned I like to feel the burn?
Ok, so Thursday I was planning to do something different, more elaborate...but Dave loved what I made on Tuesday so much that he special requested I make another kind. I made the teriyaki noodles this time and added some spinach again. While the teriyaki was still very good, we liked the peanut sesame better...
