Steppin' Out {23}...

This past Friday Dave had a show at Vienna Coffee House in Maryville, TN. This is the third time he's played there and we love it! The atmosphere is great (it's an old house turned coffee shop), the people are friendly, and the drinks are yummy (we highly recommend the muddy river...mmm). So if you're ever in the Knoxville/Maryville area make sure to stop by...

The crowd was amazing on Friday and we had such a great time. It was so much fun to catch up with people who used to come see Dave play weekly.

Steppin' Out Saturday {22}...

...or more like stepping in. Dave has taken a few weeks off of shows in order to prepare for our move and we've been taking advantage of having a few weekends off by using the nights to relax for the most part. So I "stepped out" to Starbucks to grab us some motivation to keep working and then we snuggled up for some Tom Petty in the comfort of our living room...

If you guys haven't seen the documentary "Runnin' Down a Dream" I highly recommend it! Especially for the music lovers. Dave and I have watched it at least 5 times since we bought it a year or two ago, even though it is two discs long...

Perfection.

And since this is a "stepping out" post my long sleeve tee is from Gap, in case anyone's interested. Oh and promise I put jeans on to get the Starbucks, hehe. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Steppin' Out Saturday {21}...

Yesterday Dave and I worked...all day. By 5 I was getting pretty antsy and was dying to get out of the house, so we stepped out to Target. Yes, Target. Haha we love going there and we were really wanting to go out to eat for Mexican food (our fav), but to save money we decided to make a Target run instead...

These tacos turned out soooo good! I know a lot of you asked after my post on Thursday if we use Boca meat for things other than chili and the answer is yes. We love the boca crumbles and we use them for many things. They are perfect for taco night! Just cook it with a little chili powder, cayenne pepper, and garlic salt.

Oh and I normally don't ever drink pop, but I'd been wanting to try the throwback kind with natural sugar and no high fructose corn syrup. Tastes great, but still is a special treat because even though it's better ingredients it still has a lot of sugar.

Steppin' Out Saturday {19}...

Yesterday Dave and I took it easy for the most part. We let ourselves sleep in. Cleaned up around the house. Went for a run. Dave made us some delicious tomato and cheese sandwiches (jalapeno on mine). We watched some One Tree Hill (we're currently doing a marathon of all the oldies because Dave never saw them- he's addicted now by the way). And then we headed out for a Barnes and Noble date...one of my favorite kind of dates :) Made me miss Borders, but I guess I'll have to get used to it...perfect Saturday if you ask me...

Steppin' Out {18}...

Friday night Dave had a show at Good Company, they were celebrating their 1 year anniversary. If you guys are ever in the Kansas City area you have to check this place out. They have some of the cutest stuff...I wanted to buy it all! I wore this American Eagle dress with a navy blue cardigan from there also. Even though it's technically fall, it still felt like summer here in Wichita before we left for Kansas City and I just couldn't bring myself to layer up.

We got to stay with my best friend and her husband for the night. We ordered some pizza, watched Bridesmaids, and stayed up way too late talking. It was perfect :) On the way home yesterday, there was a storm coming in the direction we were driving so we had a gorgeous view the whole way home...

We stopped at Trader Joe's and stocked up since we don't have one here and it is Dave and I's favorite place to shop! We even got some goodies to eat on the way home...

Steppin' Out Saturday {17} // Farmer's Market

Like I said, Saturday morning Dave and I headed to the Old Town Farmer's Market for him to play. We got such a great response, it was wonderful...

I was sitting close to Dave with a table full of albums to sell and everyone kept coming up to me and telling me that he's the best they've ever heard down there. Multiple people also told us that they never buy CD's, but he was too good not to purchase one. There were little kids dancing to Dave's songs (which is the cutest thing ever and always makes my heart melt) and older people sitting around bobbing their heads. It was a great time, especially since it was such a gorgeous day!

After he finished playing Dave went around and talked to the vendors who all gave us some stuff to take home. We were/are so excited about all the goodies we made it home with! So much delicious homemade/homegrown food.

Friday night Dave had a show at a new place out in Newton called Norm's Coffee bar. Cool little spot out there with the best soy chai latte I have had in awhile...maybe ever. We met some great people and it was a great night, as always...

Steppin' Out Saturday {14}...

As most of you know Dave and I were in Dallas part of this week/weekend (pics from the other days to come.) We were there for Dave to play at Opening Bell again. We love this place! It's a cool coffee shop that's big enough to hold plenty of people. Both times Dave has played there now it's been packed and the audience has been wonderful. This time we met even more friends from twitter and it was amazing...

We got to see Maria and her husband Steve again, this time they brought their oldest daughter Carina who is such a sweetheart. We met Kelly for the first time and her husband and sisters they were all so much fun. We also got to meet my twitter/blogger friend Jana from Giggles Glitz and Glam and her wonderful husband, they are expecting a baby soon and I am so happy for them :) We also got to meet a woman who has been following Dave's music online for a long time, very cool. Plus my second cousin and her husband and little boy were able to make it and it was great to see them! It was great having a good mix of people we knew there and a crowd of new faces...

Steppin' Out {13}...

Friday Dave had a show at The Artichoke again. I can't say enough great things about this place- the crowd is always great, the food is amazing, and the owners are the best. This night was no different. The place was packed with a fun crowd and my sandwich was the best yet.

I was all excited about my good hair night while getting ready...

...and then the wind ended up making it crazy anyways.
