We waste so much time wishing we were smarter, richer, thinner, funnier...it's exhausting. And why do we do it?
We are all gorgeous creatures created perfectly just the way we are. So why would we wish to change a thing? Instead, we should spend that time and energy focusing on the things we do have....
If only we spent that time furthering the talents we have been given...it could really change the world. We are all so talented in our own ways, why would we not want to make the best of them?
So true. I spend a lot of time comparing myself to others. Such wasted energy, and only makes me miserable!
ReplyDeleteyou're so right. i fall in the pit of all of this. we just need to be grateful for what we have and who we are as a person and make the best of our talents/gifts. right on girlie!! xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteI'm totally guilty of this. Sigh!
ReplyDeleteThis has been on my mind a lot lately! Thanks for sharing this!
ReplyDeleteYou know what Mallorie, I was having a similar conversation with my husband last night. I told him that I have really been trying hard not to compare myself and seek others approvals rather I want to be known as a woman of God to my peers, friends, family, etc.
ReplyDeleteIt's so hard not to compare ourselves to others, but we're human. It's normal. EVERYONE (even guys) do it. But you know what, the best that we can do, is just tell ourselves to stop if/when we notice that we're doing it. Great post!
ReplyDeleteThis is a GREAT post! Thank you so much! I needed it today!!
