This week Dave and I have been in food heaven since we got to make
a trip to Trader Joe's this past weekend and were able to stock up on all our favorites. One of the things that we always get when we have a Trader Joe's nearby is their ready to bake whole wheat pizza dough. Even though we know how to make a very yummy
whole wheat pizza dough from scratch, this is just so easy! (But if you are like us and don't have a Trader Joe's nearby try the link for our pizza dough!)
So here's what we did with our pizza dough this time around...
Ingredients~
Heat the sauce. Add spices/herbs. Roll the dough. Add toppings. Bake!
I won't show any "after" pictures because it turned out looking like a hot mess. We had a
tiny huge problem getting the beautiful creation to our pizza stone. But hey, we had a good laugh about it and it still tasted fantastic. I recommend hot sauce and honey for dipping. Not at the same time though...
Mmmmm that looks SO good. We used to do homemade pizza weekly around here... I don't know why we ever stopped!
ReplyDeleteI love that you and your man cook together! :)
ReplyDeleteHaha! I want to see an after picture! :) this looks Delicious!
ReplyDeleteThat looks amazing! I love Trader Joe's, I get to go once in awhile. Unfortunately the closest one to us is a little over an hour away :(

ReplyDeleteThis has some major YUM factors going on. I'm a big fan of olives on pizza. I'm sure it tasted AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteI've never thought about dipping pizza in honey! I'll have to try it, it sounds interesting. :)
ReplyDeleteI love that we cook together, too!
ReplyDeleteTrader Joes is the best!! Your pizza sounds yummy. I always think homemade pizza is way better than anything you can buy

yuuuum! I can't wait to have my own place and man to cook for. Then I can start linking up each Thursday! EEK!
ReplyDeleteThis certainly looks delicious --don't you hate it when the crust puffs and shoots the topping off the stone --still tastes good =)
ReplyDeleteMy goodness this looks delicious!!! I'm going to try your pizza dough from scratch recipe. I'd been looking for a good one for when we make our homemade pizzas!!
ReplyDeleteIt was! Let me know how your pizza turns out! :)
ReplyDeleteHaha, that sounds bad...that didn't happen to us, just couldn't get it moved to the stone and it ruined Dave's beautiful creation...and yes, still tastes great :)
ReplyDeleteI agree, it is the best :) And yes, homemade is definitely the way to go!
ReplyDeleteIt will change your life! But seriously, do it. It's amazing with whole wheat crust :)
ReplyDeleteYeah this one is 3 hours from us. I'm hoping that where we move to next has one closer!
ReplyDeleteI don't know why either, it's so yummy! :)
ReplyDeleteUgh, after a few pizza sticking issues, I started building my pizzas on parchment paper. You can slide the whole thing onto the stone and the bottom still gets nice and crisp and there is no risk of getting cheese burned onto your stone.
ReplyDeleteUsually we make ours right on the pizza stone and have no problem...we won't be doing it this way again!
