What's for dinner {7} // Homemade Pizza

This week Dave and I have been in food heaven since we got to make a trip to Trader Joe's this past weekend and were able to stock up on all our favorites. One of the things that we always get when we have a Trader Joe's nearby is their ready to bake whole wheat pizza dough. Even though we know how to make a very yummy whole wheat pizza dough from scratch, this is just so easy! (But if you are like us and don't have a Trader Joe's nearby try the link for our pizza dough!)

So here's what we did with our pizza dough this time around...

Heat the sauce. Add spices/herbs. Roll the dough. Add toppings. Bake!

I won't show any "after" pictures because it turned out looking like a hot mess. We had a tiny huge problem getting the beautiful creation to our pizza stone. But hey, we had a good laugh about it and it still tasted fantastic. I recommend hot sauce and honey for dipping. Not at the same time though...

  20. Ugh, after a few pizza sticking issues, I started building my pizzas on parchment paper. You can slide the whole thing onto the stone and the bottom still gets nice and crisp and there is no risk of getting cheese burned onto your stone.

  21. Usually we make ours right on the pizza stone and have no problem...we won't be doing it this way again!
