As I mentioned in this post, I tend to freeze up when people ask me questions about myself. I know that I know the answer, but suddenly I'm all "HUH?!" So last night as I sat staring at a new post, with my cursor blinking at me, I drew a blank.
Jenni asked us if we were asked the usual question of "what do you do", but couldn't answer with our job title, how would we answer? I was thinking about it way too hard (as usual) when I finally text my husband Dave and asked him what he would say. His answer, as usual, was perfect...he said, "Before I am a musician, technician, son, etc...I am the one who loves you." Cue heart melting.
But he's right. He and I, we are both lovers. We pour into each other first and foremost, which is what makes our relationship so rock solid, if you ask me. But we are also pretty great at loving those around us. We are both incredibly loyal friends and would do anything for our family (and friends that have become like family.)
We both tend to go out of our way for people, even if we don't know them very well. Dave is the only person I know that (on his birthday no less) will hop in and play bagger at the grocery store late at night when someone decides to purchase hundreds of groceries and the poor cashier has no help. True story.
What about you? What would your answer be to this question? I'd love to hear!
